5.9.1. Using the Desktop Switcher
So, to help you switching between your desktops, 7 Sticky Notes offers the cool "Desktop Switcher"! The Desktop Switcher is an on-screen tool accessed by a keyboard shortcut that cicles through all your Desktops, and lets you choose which Desktop you wish to see. The Desktop Switcher style is fully customizable, you can easily change its behavior and you can also select which Desktops you don't like to show up at the Desktop Switcher, as will be showed at the Notes Manager Desktops Management topic.

Also, starting from v1.7 of 7 Sticky Notes, it is also possible to enable the "Desktop Switcher List", which is an on-screen list of all your Desktops, so you can easily navigate through your Desktops, and select them with your keyboard or with your mouse!

So, you must launch the Desktop Switcher. By default, this is done using the keyboard shortcut WIN + V, which is the default Desktop Switcher keyboard shortcut used when 7 Sticky Notes is first installed (but you can change it too at the 7 Sticky Notes options). Once you launch the Desktop Switcher, it will nicely fade into your screen, and you will see something like this:

In the example of the picture above, the current selected desktop was named "Sleep and Alarm", and it was showed first because the Desktop Switcher will always begin with the current Desktop. Note also the small square on the side of the desktop name, it shows that the name displayed is the current showed desktop. To start rotating between the desktops, all you have to do is press the shortcut "WIN + V" again, and repeat this until you reach the Desktop you want. Quite simple!

Once you reach your desktop, and you want to show the notes of this Desktop, just press "ENTER" or wait a couple of seconds, and the Desktop Switcher will show this Desktop for you and then fade out. But, if you don't want to show the desktop, or you want to exit/cancel the Desktop Switcher without actually switching any desktop, then all you have to do is press the "ESC" key, and the Deskop Switcher will exit without doing anything.

Also, if you enable the "Desktop Switcher List", you can also see all your Desktops all at once, and quickly select them by either clicking with your mouse, using the "WIN + V" or "WIN + SHIFT + V" keys, or pressing the "UP" or "DOWN" keys. The way the Desktop Switcher and the List are showed and positioned at the screen is completely configurable through the Desktop Switcher section of 7 Sticky Notes options. Here is how it will look if you enable the Desktop Switcher List:

Additionally, the Desktop Switcher has another behavior, which is called "Active Switching". With the "Active Switching" enabled, the only difference is that 7 Sticky Notes will change Desktops at the same time that the Desktop Switcher cycle through the list. In other words, once a new Desktop name pops up at the Desktop Switcher, the same Desktop will be showed automatically. This option, along with all timings as speeds for the Desktops Switcher can be enabled at the Desktop Switcher section of 7 Sticky Notes options.

That is it! The Desktop Switcher was created to be a simple, intuitive yet very helpful and cool tool, so anyone can use it! And now that you know how to use it, you can even customize it. If you don't like the default look of the Desktop Switcher, you can change everything about it, including its font style, color, position, etc! To know how you can do this, please check the Desktop Switcher Options topic.
